Blog Post 10

Excel is a very useful tool for teachers of all ages to use. It allows for teachers to keep organized documents of specific information. Excel is very useful for teachers when they're keeping track of attendance, grades, and even lesson plans. Excel makes it easy for teachers to make charts or graphs of the information they enter and to clearly see where their students are academically. Personally, I believe Excel will be most beneficial for middle and high school teachers because regarding attendance, they have to keep track of multiple classes and hundreds of students. Discussing subject matter, teachers in math or science will most likely use the information to make charts and graphs.

Throughout the semester, I was required to comment on a few other students blogs. I really liked reading my peer's blogs and seeing how they interpreted the same questions I was required to answer and compare our similarities and differences. My favorite thing to look at was when we were required to post a picture or screenshot of an assignment we turned in for class. Examples of this are the newsletter and our website. I really liked seeing how every interpreted the assignment and how everyone used different pictures and formats different from what I used for these assignments. I like being able to see the creativity of others in my class.

Hopefully in the future I will learn videoconferencing skills. I feel like it is important for people to learn and understand this skill because it has become very common for people to communicate through videoconferencing. Videoconferencing can be used to communicate with friends as well as for business or even interviews. As technology improves, people like to use it more often and I would really like to learn more about it and how it can further benefit our community.
